A Brief Overview
Helps support PC users throughout the hospital and at remote locations along with working on various assigned projects.
What you will do
- Primarily responsible for remote support of Physicians and Remote users
- Set up and customize new or replacement computers
- Troubleshoot and repair desktop and peripheral hardware issues
- Understanding the components within a corporate network environment (i.e. IP sub-netting, TCP / IP DNS, DHCP, routers, gateways, etc…) and having the ability for basic trouble-shooting with them.
- Work on special projects as requested by Manager
- Remain informed of new PC technology to enhance efficiency of hospital LANs, WANs and PCs.
- Maintains all hospital PCs with current versions of all software and software fixes.
- Research, evaluate and recommend hardware and software configurations for users. Review new equipment purchases and assure proper service coverage is provided on all PC equipment.
- Maintain and respect confidentiality.
- Assist with Helpdesk calls
- Performs miscellaneous duties / shift work as requested by Manager.
- Perform Operations tasks if needed
