A Brief Overview
The Retail/Staff Pharmacist will be physically present in the Retail Pharmacy and on occasion, may be present in the Hospital's Pharmacy Dept. The Retail/Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of the Retail Pharmacy at Holy Name Medical Center while on duty and for successfully managing the respective Retail Pharmacy Technicians, Interns and Externs.

The Retail/Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of the Retail Pharmacy at Holy Name Medical Center while on duty and for successfully managing the respective Retail Pharmacy Technicians, Interns and Externs.
What You Will Do
- The Registered Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining a steady schedule of clinical patient adherence appointments and MTM related activities.
- Responsible for staffing at the Retail pharmacy. To include coordinating with multiple departments and disciplines throughout the hospital to successfully execute our Meds to Bed program. Provide pharmaceutical counseling and support to patients in the community and at the pharmacy.
- Work with Holy Name employees to increase employee engagement and participation at Pharmacare for our employee Optum plan.
- Immunization services
- The Registered Pharmacist will be responsible for all aspects relating to pharmaceutical care for both our Home Hospice program and Residential Hospice facility. To include: Site visits and assessments, Pharmacy inservice education, providing CMS mandated consultation notes.
- The Registered Pharmacist will oversee all aspects of IV preparation and services for the residential facility. Will work closely with the RPIC to develop and implement home infusion services.
- The Registered Pharmacist will be part of an on-call rotation to be available to our Hospice teams (1 week / month)
- Bachelor's Degree B.S. in Pharmacy Required and
- Doctorate Doctorate of Pharmacy Required
- less than 1 year Retail Pharmacist experience Required and
- less than 1 year The pharmacist must have strong clinical background and related experience Required and
- Some retail pharmacy experience, sterile compounding skills, proven clinical skills, patient counseling and engagement PGY1 residency preferred, not required Preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time and people management skills are required.
- Must be motivated and capable of handling a variety of tasks
- PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Valid New Jersey Pharmacist Licensure Upon Hire Required and
- Immunization Certificate Upon Hire Required
