Collaborative Pianist

Keyboardist needed for Sunday Services and Wednesday Evening Quire Rehearsals!

A bit about you…

Seeking a skilled pianist, both musically literate and with skills in improvisation, to work alongside our organist during Sunday Services and the first half hour of our Wednesday evening rehearsals. If the organist is absent, the collaborative pianist should be able to play service music and hymns from the piano. A willingness to step onto the organ bench is a plus.

A bit about us…

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church’s Quire is a unique ensemble designed to encourage dynamic musicianship without significant choral training. Our ensemble members frequently bring their own instruments alongside their voices to our offertory anthems and hymns. We are not your traditional Episcopal church choir, and we know that unique identity is what makes our worship sing. This is why abilities in improvisation are strongly encouraged or a deep willingness to grow with us through a curious and joyous spirit of collaborative musicking.

Salary and Hours:

This is a part time contractor position starting at $18.00 per hour up to $21.00 per hour dependent on experience. The total number of hours for the church year which you would be expected to work is 290 hours. Planned absences of longer than a week require advance notice of two weeks.
