Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in a group home setting. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patient observation, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in residents' health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure the rights of residents are respected and upheld at all times.
- Assist with hospice care as needed, providing comfort and support during end-of-life stages.
- Perform patient observation to identify any changes in behavior or health conditions.
- Support residents with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiver role or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans, resident rights, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with physical mobility needs.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patients effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations.
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus but not mandatory.
