Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles.

Duties

• Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster positive relationships with students to support their social skills and emotional well-being.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with disabilities or autism, ensuring all students have access to learning opportunities.
• Prepare materials ahead of time so that they will be ready to use.
• Clean and santize classroom tables after use.
• Organize and participate in classroom activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, and indoor play.
• Help copy and cut-out materials prior to classroom use.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required.
• A nurturing attitude and a genuine passion for teaching young children.
• Relevant certifications or degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
• Clearances required: PA Child Abuse Clearance and PA State Criminal History Record Check (Additiional clearances are required if from out of state)
