Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated 7th/8th Grade ELA Teacher to join our middle school faculty for the 2025/2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature and writing, foster critical thinking skills, and integrate faith-based principles into the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school’s curriculum goals.
- Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Utilize technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies in accordance with school policies.
- Professional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Faith Integration:
- Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into the ELA curriculum.
- Serve as a role model for students in faith and practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in English Language Arts.
- Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in a Catholic or private school setting.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and effective instructional practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Holy Trinity School.
