Holy Trinity: An Episcopal School, serving children in Preschool through Eighth grade on two campuses in Bowie and Glenn Dale, Maryland is welcoming qualified applicants for a Full-Time Band Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record focusing on band performance. This position will report directly to the Head of High School Prep and begins for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach 5th-8th grade band (small group and large group ensembles)
- Teach two weeks of the Summer Bridge Program
- Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music required; Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
- 3-5 years experience leading an instrumental music program preferred
- Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
- Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Holy Trinity and our connection to the Episcopal Church
- Commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population
- Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and high energy level
Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check, a Child Protection Services screening, and an MSDE Employment History Review screening for Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct before employment, as well as a driving record screening.
