Facilities Technician
This is a position established to provide maintenance services as needed and/or assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager in a wide variety of maintenance activities, address immediate operational and/or safety concerns, and assist the Facilities and Maintenance Manager in ensuring that tools and materials are maintained in good working order and are available at job sites when needed.
Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or an acceptable equivalent or a combination of education and experience is required
- Certifications preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- Skilled in general maintenance, construction, and repairs of facilities and grounds equipment
- Commitment to ensuring that buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest safety and sanitary standards
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of heating/cooling systems
- Ability to understand and carry out simple oral and written directions
- Willingness to perform custodial and other manual tasks
- Knowledge of material safety data sheets
- Thoroughness and dependability in completing tasks and work orders
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability and willingness to work as a team member
- Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A you are a mandated reporter and held to the statutory reporting requirements.
Starting Pay: $23.28 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
