What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Specialist II position at Holyoke Medical Center?

To provide crisis evaluations in the emergency department and medical floors for youth, adult and geriatric population. Respond to consults in the emergency department and medical floors to provide mental health and substance use support for patients. Provide appropriate referrals for outpatient providers and/or treatment i.e Partial Hospitalization Program/ Community Crisis Stabilization. Engage in case collaboration with the emergency department and/or medical floor treatment team. Utilize supervision for case consultation. Actively engage in supervised clinical hours to obtain independent licensure. Assist in centralized telephone intake service for Center for Behavioral Health inpatient psychiatric unit and other duties as assigned by the clinical coordinator.


Level of education required: M.Ed., M.A, M.S., MSW. In addition, must be license eligible or hold LMHC, LICSW, LCSW.

Employment Type: Full Time Shift: night shift Hours: 9p-7am (Tues- Friday )
