RVCC is looking to hire a Medical Assistant - Westfield Clinic

Overview of Job Responsibilities :
- Escort clients into clinical area and assist them physically, when required
- Document start time in EHR when client is roomed
- Take vital signs and document them in clients electronic health record
- Prepare client for Provider's visit, as required
- Obtain history of the current visit and document information in the client’s chart.
- Maintain, in conjunction with the Provider, current information regarding allergies, medications, and pertinent family history in the client’s problem and medication sections
- Ensure all prescriptions sent by fax from the pharmacies are forwarded to the provider and addressed in a timely manner.
- Determine, arrange and submit for appropriate follow-up care, including follow-up appointments, educational materials, diagnostic testing and third-party referrals; this process may occur in collaboration with the Provider and / or office assistant.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of non-Provider entries into the client’s electronic medical record (e.g. immunizations, medical supplies).
Job Requirements :
Education Level - High school graduate or GED; successful completion of a medical assistant training program
Years of Experience - 1–2 years as a medical assistant preferred
Skills / Abilities - Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; crisis intervention skills; organizational skills; attention to detail; computer skills; good customer relations skills; knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession.
Licensing / Certification - Current CPR certification and Medical Assistant Certificate.
Schedule : Monday-Friday
Saturday and evening rotation
