What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preoperative Optimization Nurse position at Holyoke Medical Center?
The Preoperative Optimization Nurse is an essential role that will be working closely with
many aspects of the surgical team in a coordinated effort to ensure that patients are prepared for their surgical
procedure in the final days leading up to the surgery date.
QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUISITES:
Education: Degree from an accredited LPN program
Licenses/Registrations: LPN
Experience: Experience in a hospital or outpatient care setting using the electronic medical record (EMR)
MISCELLANEOUS:
Working Conditions: Office setting within the hospital.
Equipment Used: Computer and the electronic medical record (EMR)
Special Aptitudes/Activities: Understanding of medical terminology, basic lab values, and the ability to
navigate the EMR
