Our Parts Department plays a critical role in supporting both retail and wholesale operations — and we’re looking to strengthen that team with a strategic, detail-driven Parts Inventory Analyst.
Position Overview:
We're seeking a Part-Time Parts Inventory Analyst to help manage and optimize our large parts inventory across both retail and wholesale channels. The right candidate will work closely with the Parts Director to ensure we are stocking the right parts, minimizing aged or unsold inventory, and focusing on turn rate and profitability.
This is a key support role designed to keep our inventory lean, relevant, and aligned with real-world demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze inventory data to identify aging or slow-moving parts
- Assist in selling down aged inventory through internal strategies and vendor programs
- Work with the Parts Director to adjust stocking levels based on current demand and trends
- Ensure that inventory is aligned with realistic usage and turnover goals
- Support both retail and wholesale operations by keeping inventory accurate and responsive
- Maintain reports and suggest proactive actions to improve inventory performance
- Help avoid overstocking or understocking critical items
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in automotive parts inventory or related role preferred
- Strong analytical and computer skills (DMS knowledge is a plus)
- Understanding of inventory turn rate and aged inventory strategies
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with management and department staff
- Familiarity with Chevrolet/GM parts systems or dealership experience is a bonus
