Holzer Health System is seeking a BE / BC Anesthesiology Section Chief.
Practice Details
Mostly supervision of CRNAs with some independent cases
Diverse case mix - Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Cath Lab, OB / GYN, Podiatry, GI, and Pediatrics (healthy only)
Regional skills required
Fantastic work environment with great support staff
Home base will be in Gallipolis in outpatient setting, but some inpatient will be required
Opportunity to work with residents and medical students
Section Chief Duties
Ensure regulatory compliance for anesthesia service, which may involve attending or running meetings as appropriate
Provide medical oversight of the CRNAs in both the ambulatory and acute setting
Rotate as site manager between acute and ambulatory sites as required by the Medical Director
Provide support to the Medical Director and Department Director / Manager which may include but is not limited to the following :
Assisting with long and short-term planning efforts for anesthesia service
Reviewing and developing policies and procedures that affect anesthesia
Providing advice and direction to medical and administrative staff in the development of policies promoting quality and efficient medical care and quality as it relates to the service line
Participating in provider recruiting activities
Attending medical and operational leadership meetings as requested
