Director, Perioperative Business Operations

The Director, Perioperative Business is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling material resources and business activities to support quality services in Perioperative Services, Sterile Processing, Supply Chain and Endoscopy. In addition, leads the development and maintenance of the operating and capital budgets, purchasing contract negotiations, pursues and implements inventory and supply cost savings initiatives and conducts financial projects as directed by Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or designee. This position will partner with finance department to ensure compliance with billing practices and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading the coordination of projects and supporting Information Technology Services to include managing the following project related tasks: process redesign, vendor evaluation, implementation, coordination, and support of new surgery systems applications and/or enhancements. This will ensure communication of project team members and coordinate end-user training in collaboration with perioperative services educator. Assist Perioperative Services leadership in budget preparation, interpretation of budget reports, and management of budgets.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

• Bachelors in Business Administration required; Masters in Business Administration preferred.

• Knowledge of computer systems, management information systems, and software including Microsoft and Excel.

• Knowledge of solid spreadsheet and database skills, ability to conceptualize, plan, implement, and coordinate management information systems and projects required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting principals including the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and develop business plans for capital equipment is required.

• Five (5) years’ experience is required in a healthcare facility including business management.

• Ten (10) years clinical experience required.
