Description : Responsibilities
- The Design Assistant will work hands-on with Gabberts Designers. They will assist with tasks such as :
- Setting up presentation rooms per Designers’ requests.
- Reviewing order paperwork for completion and accuracy.
- Attending presentations and house calls to take notes and assist with selections.
- Monitoring project statuses and communicating changes to Designers and / or clients.
- The Design Assistant maintains the resource room, including fabrics and catalogs, and orders new samples as necessary.
- On larger projects including coordinating models homes, the Design Assistant will assist with ordering merchandise, coordinating deliveries, and packing and unpacking the merchandise.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :
Education : Associate or Bachelor’s degree in design preferred.
Experience : Three to five years of administrative experience preferred.
Physical Demands : Low physical demands required. The employee is regularly required to sit for sustained periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Other : Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Drafting and proofreading skills are a plus.
