Job Description
Homans Associates is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Branch Support Specialist working out of our Braintree. location. This position will report to the Senior Regional Operations Manager of the New England Division.
As the Branch Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our branch. This position involves providing support, assisting with inventory management, and delivering exceptional customer service. To be successful in this role you will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. There is no relocation assistance for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BRANCH SUPPORT SPECIALIST
- Provide support to the branch manager and other team members.
- Provide training to branch associates to help them better understand HVAC products.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing HVAC products.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing product information and resolving issues.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Assist in preparing sales reports, invoices, and other documentation as needed.
- Support the branch in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
- Ensure the branch is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE BRANCH SUPPORT SPECIALIST
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the HVAC industry or distribution sector.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with inventory management software and CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
