Overview
We are a storied Southern California company which sends trained technicians with custom portable scanning workstations to clients' homes and offices to do onsite studio-quality, high-speed digitizing of family photos, albums, slides, negatives and business documents. Our technicians also sometimes work on projects at home.
We provide competitive hourly pay - $25.00 per hour for training and then $30.00 per hour plus $20.00 daily gas allowance to appointments - and ongoing training in a collaborative, supportive setting. We're calling this part-time to start, with a solid plan for the position to become full-time.
We are especially interested in candidates with some background in photo processing, editing and restoration - especially with 35mm slides and negatives - who live within a fifteen mile radius of Woodland Hills, California.
Responsibilities
- Driving to clients' homes or offices, unloading work station equipment·
- Advising and instructing clients on creative options to yield best results for their media project
- Efficiently organizing, scanning and editing client's photos, album pages, slides, documents and negatives with meticulous care and proficiency
- Creating invoices and collecting fees due at conclusion of appointments·
- Acting with uncompromising integrity, professionalism and of utmost service in all circumstances
- ·Additional duties as designated
Requirements
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is mandatory. Photo, slide, negative restoration, document restoration, scanning and digitizing experience preferred.
- Ability to learn new programs, technology and specific procedures to ensure quality workmanship
- ·Meticulously detailed, solid artistic eye, inventive, familiarity with photo cropping, organizing, etc.
- · Articulate, excellent communicative and people skills
- ·Ability to load, set-up and tear down multiple pieces of equipment, some up to 60 pounds apiece
- A people person: personable, positive, enthusiastic. Clean, neat, professional appearance appropriate for dealing with sophisticated clientele
- No-excuse absolute reliability.·
- Possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License and excellent driving record
- Own and maintain a working, reliable car and continually maintain valid automobile insurance as required by California state law
- ·Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- References preferred
