GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Associate is an entry level position that provides assistance and overflow coverage for members of the Human Resources team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting:
- Review, edit and post new job requisitions
- Monitor substitute requisitions including screening for minimum qualifications, scheduling interviews and screening processes
- Assist Human Resource Business Partner in candidate background screening
- Utilize ADP to manage and audit staff timekeeping Review time card report biweekly for accuracy
- Work with managers to ensure integrity of time card report
- Work with Associate Vice President, Human Resources to ensure payroll files are up to date and complete
- Utilize ADP for HR data management
- Process HR Data requests (e.g., employment verification, court orders, judgements, etc.)
- Draft notices for simple profile changes (e.g., Supervisor Change, Location Change) Open, scan and email physical mail regularly
- Assist Human Resources team in other projects or tasks as assigned
- Internal: HBI Executive Team, HBI Board of Trustees, and staff at all levels
- External: Philanthropic foundations, industry partners, vendors, contractors, and system(s) end users
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/Skills:- Any combination of experience, skills or education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in human resources
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Usual office-type working conditions; routine physical conditions include walking, carrying, standing, hearing/listening, and sitting; travel (less than 25%) anticipated.
STATUS: Exempt
PAY RANGE: Human Resources, Level 5
LOCATION: Washington, DC preferred
