Overview
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support and care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidates will have experience in diverse healthcare settings, including home caregiving or caregiving facilities. This role is vital in improving the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), delivering high-quality care in a long-term care setting.
- Monitor clients' health status, document any changes, and report them to the appropriate healthcare professionals, including daily updates to the process report.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and assist with medical equipment when needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams across various settings, including clinics, outpatient facilities, teaching hospitals, and specialized units (e.g., PICU or OR), as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed on best practices in caregiving and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience as an In-Home Caregiver or in a related healthcare field is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform physical caregiving tasks, including lifting and transferring clients as needed.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is highly desirable- unexpired HCA and TB required.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to providing support and care for others.
- Dependable, punctual, and dedicated to ensuring exceptional comfort for patients, particularly the elderly.
- A valid driver's license and car insurance may be required depending on client needs.
