- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers as needed.
- Respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other memory-related conditions.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, nursing home, or memory care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and familiarity with resident rights is essential.
- Skills in medication administration and basic health monitoring are highly valued.
- A background in social work or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
