We are currently hiring for Assist Director of Nursing to join our Canyon team. The A.D.O.N. reports directly to the D.O.N.
Typical job duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing include:
- Ensure growth and profitability of local agency.
- Plan, direct and participate in the delivery of professional services.
- Establish and implement priorities for service.
- Develop, recommend, implement, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures relevant to provision of health services and monitors compliance with same.
- Must be flexible to accommodate schedule changes.
- Travel is 25%-75%.
- May require regular on call rotation.
- May also require work after normal business hours to accommodate referrals and client needs.
- Knowledge of responsibilities and functions of the home health & hospice DON and ability to act in temporary absence of the DON.
Previous Home Care and/or Hospice experience is preferred, but not necessary. Reliable transportation is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Candidate must be a current licensed Registered Nurse.
- Candidate must have 1-3 years supervisory or administrative experience in a community health agency or related experience.
- Candidate must have experience with and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid programs and state regulations.
- Candidate must have experience with and knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques.
- Candidate must aspire to provide the highest quality patient care.
- Candidate must be self-motivated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
