What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager position at Home City Ice?
This position will focus on Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Chicago, IL markets while reporting to the Director of Outside Sales.

Essential Function :
Utilizing personal and assigned Sales Team resources; the Regional Sales Manager is to industriously and enthusiastically support the directives, initiatives and guidance of the Director of Outside Sales and Home City Ice’s Executive Management Team.
The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the assigned Sales Team Member’s productivity accompanied with the successful and timely execution of assigned projects and programs.
The Home City Ice Company strives for continual improvement and the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for perpetuating this culture within the position’s area of influence. Activities and programs to lead, teach, motivate, inspire and improve the overall productivity of the assigned Sales Team Members are critical behaviors of the Regional Sales Management position.
Within the Regional Sales Manager’s area of influence; see that Home City Ice Company’s position as an industry leading, full service packaged ice company is maintained and improved upon; thereby creating added value for The Home City Ice Company’s stakeholders.
To be proactive in these efforts and to the best of one's abilities prevent anything or anybody, internally or in the marketplace from compromising that position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Proper Communication with the Director of Outside Sales to effectively convey market and Sales Team activities, opportunities accompanied with the solicitation of guidance and the offering of suggestions to improve.
Proper and effective communication with assigned Sales Team Members to ensure oversight, planning, guidance, follow up and maximized productivity.
Spending time in the assigned marketing areas and with respective Sales Team Members in order to evaluate and improve upon productivity while developing new marketing / sales opportunities.
Bringing assigned Sales Team Members together to meet and effectively lead, teach, motivate and introduce new program and activities while discussing opportunities to improve upon the Company’s position as an industry leader.
To proper and effectively utilize the resources of the Sales Support Staff to facilitate communication, capture opportunities while improving the overall productivity of the assigned Sales Team Members.
The following responsibilities maybe directly performed by the Regional Sales Manager or assigned to a respective Division Sales Manager whose activities will be the responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager.
Maintain, Enhance, and Secure assigned client relationships.

Proactively communicate with assigned clients in a timely and professional manner allowing for the development and continual improvement of Trust, Credibility, Rapport and mutually beneficial growth.

Handling Assigned Complaints / Concerns : Handle customer complaints, product or service oriented quickly and professionally. Satisfy the customer and see that proper internal steps are initiated to prevent reoccurrence.

Merchandiser Appearance
Utilization of existing advertising, promotional and merchandising tools to enhance our products value, company’s good will and customer loyalty while stimulating sales and brand name recognition.
Point of Sale material.
Suggestive selling tools.
Evaluation of merchandiser type, condition and placement.
Multiple product lines.
Constant Research, Evaluation and Implementation of new advertising, promotional and merchandising tools that enhance our product’s value, our company’s good will and customer loyalty while stimulating sales and brand name recognition.
With guidance, feedback and input of the Director of Outside Sales and the VP.
Assist in the development of tools and communication pieces to assist the Sales Department in the communication and successful execution of company initiatives and programs internally and within the marketplace.
Supporting Efficient Operations : Communicating with assigned clients to provide programs that help control cost and maximize the utility of our company’s assets.
Properly sized and positioned merchandisers for the customer’s volume.
The Order Program and other Delivery Platform programs.
Improvement in the average transaction.
Payment by scan programs.
Streamlined accounting procedures approved by the Director of Outside Sales, Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer.
Account Receivables Protocol and Programs that reduces Home City Ice’s exposure.
Delinquent Accounts : To assist in the collection of delinquent accounts when requested by the Account Receivable Department and approved by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Saves : To maintain business in competitive situations.
Within the guidelines established by the Director of Outside Sales and Vice President, The Regional Sales Manager is to manage and evaluate pricing structures for the assigned marketing area company.
Any and all suggestions need to be approved by the Director of Outside Sales and / or Vice President.
Method of communication and execution need to be approved by the Director of Outside Sales and / or Vice President.
Within the guidelines established by the Director of Outside Sales and VP, The Regional Sales Manager is to research and evaluate the productivity of Home City Ice merchandising equipment in the marketplace.
Maintenance of the “Box Rental” Program.
Determination of possible candidates that meet the specified profile.
Any and all suggestions need to be approved by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Method of communication and execution need to be approved by Director of Sales and Marketing.
Solicitation of new business opportunities across assigned marketing area.
New dollar sales.
New locations.
Ice maker accounts.
Accounts with other sources of supply.
Constantly create & evaluate new markets and opportunities for our products & services.
The effective and timely follow up of all prospective selling opportunities with the assigned Home City Ice marketing area.
Prompt & Professional inter-company communication :
Understanding of roles & goals.
Properly filled out paper work (work orders, new account sheet, price changes, expense reports, weekly plan itinerary, progress reports)
With the knowledge and approval of the Director of Sales, be available to assist any of the production and or distribution facilities in whatever capacity is deemed necessary
