CAD Drafter Residntial

Home Design Drafting is a custom home design company. A CAD designer will become an essential team player, in the designing and drawing of house plans. An aptitude for designing and construction drafting, as well as a willingness to work hard to meet the needs of our clients will ensure the designer becomes a key factor of our company.

Job duties and responsibilities:

1. Making changes/modifications to existing construction drawings/sketches (electrical, plumbing, foundation plan)

• Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to clients

2. Scheduling

• Creating and continually updating project drawings lists, scheduling online meetings

3. Tracking existing customers & prospects

• Creating spreadsheets to track current and future projects

4. Monitoring company Facebook page for new leads
5. Following up on Hansen leads

• Contacting potential clients to answer questions and give pricing information

6. Email

• Monitor and return emails

7. Catalog of current plans

• Create a catalog of plans for builders/clients to view for resale

8. Other duties as assigned

In essence, the CAD designer is a very important position. It is a position of great responsibility, requiring not only excellent CAD skills, but also good communication skills, organizational abilities, and the strongest possible focus on quality. The designer desires to see sketches become drawings that ultimately become construction documents.
