Job Summary:

Our Home Energy Sales Specialists meet with pre-qualified homeowners, assess their energy needs, and offer tailored solutions that help them save money and reduce their carbon footprint. Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to Pre-Qualified Appointments: Engage with homeowners in the Long Island area at company-generated appointments—no cold calling or door knocking required.

• Conduct Energy Assessments: During the first visit, you’ll accompany a Home Energy Auditor who will perform a free, PSEG-sponsored energy assessment and help you gather all necessary installation parameters. This collaboration sets the stage for a smooth and successful sales process.

• Close Sales and Drive Results: After the initial visit, you will return on your own to revisit homeowners, presenting tailored energy efficiency solutions and closing the sale. If circumstances allow, you can seize the opportunity to close the deal on the first visit, leveraging your expertise and the audit's immediate findings.

• Educate Homeowners: Inform homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency upgrades tailored to their specific needs, such as insulation, air sealing, electric heat pumps & converting off of fossil fuels.

• Continuous Learning and Development: Participate in regular sales training and team meetings to stay ahead of industry trends and enhance your skills.

• Represent Our Brand: Act as the local, on-site representative to customers, providing them with clear, professional guidance throughout their energy efficiency journey.

Qualifications:

• Proven Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales is essential.

• Past Experience Closing Hard Sales with Home Improvement Leads: Must have a track record of closing high-ticket sales in home improvement, especially with customers requiring extensive consultations and decision-making.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate Degree is preferred.

• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computers and smartphone applications to manage appointments and customer data.

• Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel within your assigned territory in Long Island.

• Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn and adapt to our proven sales process is essential.
