The Role
We're looking for a strategic, data-driven Head of Marketing to join our leadership team. As our first senior marketing hire, you will own the full marketing funnel—leading brand, growth, and content initiatives across both sides of our marketplace. You’ll develop and execute marketing strategies that fuel user acquisition, drive engagement, and strengthen our brand positioning with students and employer partners alike.
You’ll work cross-functionally with product, data, partnerships, and content to drive meaningful business outcomes—and establish Home From College as the career launchpad for Gen Z.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead the overall marketing strategy across B2C and B2B audiences
Drive user acquisition and retention through owned, earned, and paid channels
Own performance marketing, email/lifecycle marketing, SEO/SEM, content strategy, and brand campaigns
Translate data into actionable insights to optimize the marketing funnel and ROI
Lead experimentation across growth channels; test and scale new tactics
Collaborate with product and content teams to deliver compelling student and brand narratives
Shape and evolve H\FC’s brand voice and visual identity
Manage external agencies and freelancers as needed
Report directly to the CEO and contribute to broader company strategy
Who You Are
6–10 years of marketing experience, ideally in a startup or two-sided marketplace
Proven success building and scaling marketing strategies from the ground up
Fluent in growth and performance marketing, with strong analytical chops
A creative thinker who’s just as comfortable with spreadsheets and dashboards
Passionate about Gen Z, the future of work, and building opportunity
Experienced managing budgets and leading cross-functional teams
Strong communicator and brand storyteller
Bonus: Experience marketing to students or employers, or building community-led brands
