Mandarin Chinese Home Health Aide

We are looking for a home health aide to care for our 69 year old mother who has alzheimers dementia. She is the sweetest woman you will ever meet, who now needs some extra help.

She needs assistance getting dressed, washing up, reminding her to take her medicine, cooking meals, that sort of thing. She is very easy going and follows direction easily.

She's loves going for long walks, dancing, flowers, children, watching TV, exercise videos. She's is very fit and active so we want to find someone who can be active with her.

She is from Taiwan and speaks English and Mandarin Chinese but lately has forgotten to speak in English so we want to find someone who can connect with her in her first language.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and Blood sugar (not normally necessary).
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.

-Guide her on public transit to doctors appointments
- Perform light housekeeping duties, ensuring a clean and safe environment for the patient.
- Provide specialized care for patients with memory impairments or developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or completion of an approved training program

-Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese

-Physically fit and capable of accompanying her on long walks

- Capable of taking public transit to appointments and activities
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in meal preparation and following dietary guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
