Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide essential support and care to an elderly individual in their home on weekends. The ideal candidates will have a passion for helping others and the ability to assist the client with activities of daily living to ensure their comfort and well-being.
This position is Friday’s 6-10 pm, Saturday 6-10 pm, and Sunday’s 9 am-2 pm. Saturday’s could have additional hours occasionally.
We are willing to hire multiple individuals to get the weekend covered.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Administer medications that have been prepared by client’s family.
- Cook or reheat already prepared meals.
- Assist with toileting and changing of adult diapers.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe living space for the client by performing light housekeeping tasks such as kitchen cleanup and washing bedding as needed.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client health or behavior to the family.
- Take client‘s 2 small dogs out to potty.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with elderly.
- Unwavering patience with client.
- Strong communication skills to interact with family effectively.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from client‘s home for work.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must pass background checks as required by state regulations for home health aides.
