Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our clients in their homes. As a CHHA, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need to live independently and comfortably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare team.
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with clients and their families.
- Assist with companionship, offering emotional support and engaging in activities to improve quality of life.
- Follow care plans and document daily activities accurately.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
- Previous experience in home health care or a similar field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients, as required.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to client care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
