We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to assist an client in the Fort Washington, MD area. This position offers a supportive, home-based role where you will provide daily care and companionship for a client in need. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and have a genuine interest in helping others maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Location: Fort Washington, MD
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Full-time)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Personal Care Assistance: Aid with daily personal activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Mobility Assistance: Help clients with walking, transferring, or using mobility aids safely.
Medication Reminders: Ensure medication is taken as prescribed and provide reminders.
Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage in meaningful conversation or activities.
Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning duties like tidying up, laundry, and meal preparation.
Meal Planning & Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
Safety and Health Monitoring: Observe changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional state and report to family or healthcare providers as needed.
Errands & Transportation: Assist with errands, appointments, and transportation to maintain social connections and manage daily tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; caregiving or CNA certification
- Prior experience as a caregiver or in a healthcarerelated field.
- CPR certification
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dependable.
- Ability to provide personal care and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Must pass a background check.
