Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure resident rights are upheld and respected at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent situations, utilizing first aid skills when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development.
- Familiarity with home community care practices and resident rights.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- First aid certification is a plus, along with cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
