What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at Home Helpers Home Care?
Care Giver for In Home Care Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM.
WEEKLY PAY
Client’s wife smokes in the bedroom (strictly contained to bedroom), however, the home does smell like cigarettes. Must be OK with a cat in the home
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Medications reminders
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social outings as required
Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
- Proficient in medication administration and following prescribed protocols
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies
- Basic nursing skills, such as wound care and catheter care, are a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
- Knowledge of home care practices and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean living environment
