Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship with clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Help clients participate in community activities and outings, promoting social engagement.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client condition or behavior accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in personal care, assisted living, or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Skills in first aid and medication administration are beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
