Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to our clients in their homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with light daily living activities, including meals, driving to and from appointments, light house keeping, household tasks etc.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Monitor client health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met through cooking and dietary management.
- Assist with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, to help clients move safely around their home or during outings.
- Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
- Certification in memory care or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
