Job Responsibilities
· Primary role is to start all new cases. New case may start same day or fairly quickly.
· First task is to develop a routine and rapport with family.
· Second task is to train regular caregiver on their first shift with new case.
· Secondary role is to fill in shifts.
· Open shifts may occur unexpectedly or planned.
. To ensure reliable coverage to our clients and to maintain our Mission; the lead caregiver should be expected to fill in when called. However, you have up to 1 hour to report to a case when we call you.
. It is your responsibility to have your phone on you, charged, and with the ability to answer our calls at all times.

· If you are not able to work due to sickness or an unexpected event, you must immediately notify the office and leave a message that you are not available. This will result in no pay for those days requested off. If there is a future event that you wish to be made unavailable without pay, you must notify the office.
· Participate in hiring/recruiting tasks as required
· Work in the office as required when not on the schedule
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Must be willing to work with either male or female clients. Personal care will be involved.
· Must be willing to work around or in the same environment with pets (e.g. cats, dogs, birds, etc.)
· Must be willing to travel throughout our territory. See office for territory map.
· Must be willing to work in a home where cigarette smoke is present for a short period of time.
· Must have 5 years of caregiving experience. Having a C.N.A. certification is preferred.
· Should have a desire to teach others and have strong communication skills with building rapport with families and caregivers.
