Position Summary:
The Home Care Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring quality care delivery, managing client relationships, and supporting care professionals. This role includes leadership, client service, and operational management to promote business growth and meet performance goals. This position is onsite at Home Instead Champaign office which serves Champaign and Vermillion Counties and surrounding cities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Ensure that scheduling meets the needs of clients and care professionals.
Client and Care Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Conduct client assessments, care plan development, and regular reviews.
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure care professionals are properly trained, supported, and scheduled.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and support care professionals and administrative staff.
- Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive team culture aligned with Home Instead’s core values.
Growth and Community Engagement:
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to drive client acquisition and retention.
- Represent Home Instead in the community to build relationships and referral networks.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to meet growth and service delivery targets.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics.
- Ensure all client and caregiver records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Assist with billing, payroll, and budget management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of management experience in home care, healthcare, or related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling and CRM software (e.g., WellSky, Salesforce).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with home care regulations in Illinois.
- Experience with client care coordination and relationship management.
- Knowledge of budget management and financial reporting.
