Job Summary  Home Instead in Abilene, Texas office is hiring a Scheduling & On-Call Assistant.  This person has overall responsibility to assist the Scheduling Coordinator to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling service hours for each client while using intuitive skills to match needs and personality to obtain high Care Professional and client quality satisfaction. An individual who demonstrates compassion with a helpful attitude while using their critical thinking and organizational skills. Essential to have effective communication and good listening skills to build strong relationships. Available to take first call after hours evenings and weekends with administration backup assistance.  As On-Call Coordinator responsibilities will be performed remotely allowing flexibility for a work / life balance.  Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the policies and procedures established by Home Instead.
  • Deliver the highest standard of Home Instead through efficient / effective scheduling for agency employees.
  • Report to the Scheduling Coordinator.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Work closely with office staff to promote positive / effective communication to ensure appropriate client care.
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work.
  • Efficient in computer skills and proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Document effectively and efficiently.
  • Occasionally be able to preform caregiver duties.
  • Participate in meetings, fundraisers and events. Occasionally after hours.
  • Provide on-call services after hours and weekends as directed.
  • Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary.
  • Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and administrative staff
  • Confirmed interpersonal skills as well as flexibility and while working within of a high standard of stress
  • You are passionate, ambitious, eager to improve and computer-literate
  • 1 year of related scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Valid Driver’s License
