What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baton rouge position at Home Instead?
Earn up to $44K annually working 7 days on, 7 days off.
To briefly explain : you would be scheduled for a 7 day period, beginning on either Wednesday or Thursday. After that 7 day period, you will be off for the following 7 days and your schedule would revolve on that cycle.
During your scheduled 7 day shift, you would be required to reside in the home of our client for the entire 7 days, but you would have opportunity to rest at night in appropriate sleep settings.

Our Live-In Program is received by clients who reside in Baton Rouge, Central, Denham Springs, Zachary, Walker, Baker, New Roads, Saint Francisville, Port Allen, Prairieville, Plaquemine, Donaldsonville, Gonzales, Hammond, LaPlace, Ponchatoula, Livingston, Kentwood, Amite and surrounding areas.
What Does a Caregiver Do?
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Incidental transportation to and from appointments, errands and activities
- Medication Reminders
- Assistance with grooming, bathing, dressing & incontinence care
- Alzheimer’s / Dementia Care
Caregiver Skills and Qualifications?
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
- Be a good and patient listener in a friendly and polite manner.
- Complete Background Check, DMV check and Drug Screen.
