Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure proper adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as long-term care or social work is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility challenges safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
