What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compassionate Caregiver position at Home Instead?
As a Compassionate Caregiver in the Waialua area, you will provide compassionate care and support to seniors and disabled adults in need. Your core skill in caregiving will be essential in assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of patients. Our Home Helper CarePros provide Companionship & Specialized Services, including but not limited to:
- Companionship and engagement
- Preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals and snacks
- Providing oral medication and hydration reminders
- Providing reminders about recommended exercises and nutrition
- Running errands (shopping for food, household supplies, clothing, other personal essentials, and picking up medications, etc.)
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, nutritional or recreational programs, and community engagement activities
- Provide Specialized services, including but not limited to:
- Alzheimer's and dementia care
- Parkinson's care.
- Hospice support services (provide our non-medical scope of services in coordination with and support of Hospice in the home)
Our Personal Care CarePros provide personal services, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with bathing, skin care, and dressing
- Assisting with personal and oral hygiene, hair care, and grooming
- Assisting with toileting and incontinence care
- Assisting with ambulation, mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Assisting with recommended exercises and range of motion
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
