What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Home Caregiver position at Home Instead?
Cameron, MO: Home Instead is looking for evening and weekend caregivers in the Cameron, MO area. We are seeking individuals with some weekend availability, to ensure consistent, high quality care for the aging adults we serve.
If you Qualify, We want to talk to You!
- Previous caregiving experience, either professionally OR as a family caregiver.
- You can work day, evening and/or weekend shifts up to 8 hours in Cameron, MO and some surrounding areas. (example shift times could be 9am-5pm,12pm-5pm, 5pm-10pm, or overnight))
- You have a valid U.S. Driver's License, Auto Insurance & a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
- You're able to pass a Criminal and Motor Vehicle Background Check.
- You can stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull for up to 8 hours.
- You're able to lift, push or pull 25lbs.
- Compassion, patience and empathy.
- Problem solving.
- Collaborative nature, ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Here are just a few of the tasks our Care Professionals may perform:
- Assist with personal care, such as bathing and grooming
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Assist with light housekeeping, such as dusting and laundry
- Plan and prepare meals
- Provide medication reminders
- Transport clients to appointments and assist with shopping/errands
