What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN position at Home Instead?
Are you a Delegating Nurse or would like to become one? We are looking for Maryland State Licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) who are interested in work in the Home Health Care industry in Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties. You will work with clients and potential clients conducting consults, developing care assessments as well as ensuring our high-performance team of Caregivers are trained and supported in good health care practices and techniques. Initially, you will work 10 to 20 hours a week with schedule flexibility to respond to night and weekends as required. Potentially this could develop into a full-time position depending upon growth and expanded responsibilities.

Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an RN licensed in Maryland
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with elderly and veterans in home health care setting.
- Delegating Nurse Certification in Maryland or commitment to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. (We will cover the cost.)
- Computer saavy -- Microsoft Office. WellSky and Saleforce a plus.
Key Skills:
- A powerful blend of outstanding clinical expertise, excellent bedside manner, and a knack for sales is a significant advantage
- Development and monitoring of client care plans
- Ability to access performance of existing care plans
- Experience coaching and mentoring caregivers to ensure the highest standard of quality care and safety.
- Ability to travel to clients located in Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties in Maryland.
- Mileage reimbursement.
- Assess caregiver adherence to care plan and to Home Instead policies.
- Knowledge of Case Management/Managed Care theory with a consultative approach for our clients/families for home health care.
Other Requirements:
- Maryland Drivers’ License
- Reliable personal transportation with valid auto insurance in your name
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Ability to successfully pass a Reference Check, Background Check and Motor Vehicle Check, and a pre-employment Drug Screen.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English including development of documentation and training programs.
