Are you a skilled maintenance technician looking for a leadership role in a growing property management company? We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to handle and oversee maintenance work orders and property turnovers across our managed properties. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can efficiently complete repairs while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete and manage maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general property repairs, including painting touch-ups, drywall patching, texture, and precise color matching, plumbing, replacing lightbulbs, air filters, batteries appliance filters, and some carpentry.
- Conduct move in/move out inspections before and after tenant turns and upload into property management software in a timely manner.
- Assess maintenance issues and provide cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and management staff to ensure smooth operations
- Working occasional weekends and handling emergencies after hours.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and report completed tasks
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (property management or apartment maintenance preferred)
- Strong expertise in painting, drywall repairs, and color matching
- Proficiency in general maintenance repairs, with knowledge in typical plumbing and HVAC.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
