ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with production planning and operations to schedule or coordinate maintenance downtime.
• Maintain CMMS PM system data and reporting.
• Analyze data for use in maintaining planning and scheduling.
• Scheduling of regular planned and unplanned maintenance activities on each piece of equipment with a PM completion goal of 100% each month.
• Ensuring a continuing review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history.
• Make recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.
• Learn universal maintenance standards to develop reasonable expectations for the time to complete maintenance tasks.
• Identify and label all new equipment in keeping with HMF standards and keeping records current.
• Use of Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to Maintenance Manager.
• Plan maintenance work with regard to level of skill and safety training required to complete task.
• Administer maintenance shift scheduling, work order backlog, and recommend planning for scheduled downtime work, including scheduling availability of parts.
• Interface with engineering, local management, Operations Support, and various other corporate departments as necessary and outside entities when working on special projects and when performing CIR development content.
• Provide input to Management and provide suggestions for improvements in safety and efficiency.
• Manages the Parts Room staff, work directly with Inventory personnel to ensure that all scheduled maintenance work has the necessary parts on hand for the task.
• Hire, train, develop, and coach, staff of supervisors and employees to ensure maintenance team is effective and efficient in supporting manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner, reducing waste, and producing the highest level of quality of product.
• Coordinate and schedule inspections, calibrations, validations, preventive maintenance, and services with outside contractors.
• Provide accurate estimates of labor, parts, and services for repairs and improvements.
• In their Maintenance Managers absence, the Maintenance Planner will perform their duties.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of CMMS experience in food manufacturing as well as 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years managing staff including hourly workers
• Strong computer skills and experience with inventory management, CMMS system software is a necessity.
• Creative thinking skills
• Knowledge of parts room procedures and policies. Previous experience in successfully planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
• Detail-oriented personality.
• Knowledge of MS Suite
• Must be comfortable wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) consisting of hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
