Intake Coordinator for Home Medical Equipment Company, Ridgeland, MS
Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls and electronic requests from Social Workers, Nurses, Care Coordinators at hospitals and medical facilities across the state.
Input all patient data, provider orders, insurance information and other required details for processing orders
Submit authorization requests for all insurance types
Responsible for outbound patient contact for refill orders
Other jobs as directed by supervisor
Requirements:
Data entry experience required
Insurance experience required
Strong verbal skills and professional telephone presence required
Eagerness to learn required – this position involves ongoing training of insurance rules and regulations for the wide variety of medical equipment and services
Flexibility required
Must be able to work productively without daily supervision
The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including organization skills and attention to detail required
Must be a team player
General knowledge of home medical equipment preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
