About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Day Care Teacher. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of young children.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Communication with Parents: Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Classroom Management: Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met, and maintain a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervision and Support: Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Record Keeping and Professional Development: Maintain accurate records, forms, and files, and maintain personal professional development plans to ensure continuous quality improvement.
