Job Description:
At the Home of the Good Shepherd we offer our residents superior quality, professional care in a warm and inviting assisted living environment. Our size allows us to provide each of our residents with individualized services to meet their specific needs while encouraging them to remain active and involved with their lives and in the Community. Our Enhanced Assisted Living care allows residents to “age in place” as we provide Skilled Nursing tasks and Nursing Assessments in our private home-like environment.
In this role, you will provide oversight and guidance to a team of 10-12 CNA/HHA/RA staff members who deliver care to elderly residents with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, supervision of staff, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). You will also monitor the overall health and well-being of our residents. Working closely with Directors and Administration, you will ensure compliance with NYSDOH regulations and guidelines. Additionally, you will assist with Case Management needs as scheduled to support the overall care of the residents.

Part Time 6:00 am – 3:45 pm

Rate:
$28.00-40.00/hour

Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure.
- Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of nursing staff (such as CNAs, HHAs, RAs and other LPNs).
- Understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations, including infection control, patient safety, and NYSDOH or other local guidelines.
- Ability to assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, and make clinical decisions in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in providing nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist with Case Management needs as scheduled.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move patients or equipment for extended periods, and to perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
