A Day in the Life :
The CNA works collaboratively with the Vice President of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Neighborhood Nurse Managers, Therapy and Resident Enrichment to ensure residents in the Kosair Kids Complex Care Center receive the highest practicable quality of care that meets or exceeds federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and creates an environment in which children, families, and team members thrive.
Full-time and Part-time Shifts Available on :
- 1st Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
- 2nd Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM
Responsibilities :
Assist residents with mobility, feeding, and personal care within the CNA scope of practice, ensuring their comfort and well-beingEngage with residents in a way that's tailored to their needs, fostering therapeutic connections and brightening their dayHelp organize enriching activities and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents to thrive in.Participate and assist with onsite and offsite activities and appointments which can include physically assisting with resident mobility and transfers.Follow safety and infection control procedures diligently, prioritizing the health and safety of residents and staffRequired Skills and Qualifications :
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding EnglishDemonstrated use of good judgment, clinical expertise, and effective communication skills to deliver top-quality resident careAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility, integrity, and compassion when caring for individuals with diverse backgrounds and functional abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with nursing and other department personnelHigh School Diploma or equivalentCurrent CPR / Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers, provided if neededCurrent State Registered Nurse Aide certification (Certified Nurse Aide) in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing / State Nurse Aide Registry, requiredWhat you'll receive as a valued member of Home of the Innocents
