Position: Database Administrator - Raiser’s Edge

A Day in the Life:
As the Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Raiser’s Edge database to support the Development team and the agency’s comprehensive fundraising efforts, including a $100M campaign. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor data while generating actionable insights and reports that directly influence our fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee gift entry and acknowledgment processes for donations, pledges, grants, and non-monetary contributions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Manage the thank-you letter process to ensure donors receive timely, personalized communications within 10 days of donation receipt.
- Analyze data trends and create reports for strategic fundraising decisions.
- Administer credit card gift processing and documentation.
- Design customized reports to meet donor cultivation and solicitation needs.
- Develop workflows and dashboards in Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge/NXT to support comprehensive stewardship plans.
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of all database records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Partner with the Finance department to reconcile and close monthly development financials.
- Aid in prospect research to prepare for major gift solicitations.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years as a superuser administering a CRM database, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database best practices, and IRS/state regulations regarding fundraising.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and confidentiality standards.
