Job Description:

We are a dedicated caregiving company looking for a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Driver to transport our participants safely to and from appointments, programs, and other destinations. You will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our participants throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport participants between homes, medical appointments, grocery stores, and other designated locations.
• Provide assistance to participants when boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and caregiving staff regarding schedules, route changes, or delays.
• Show empathy and patience when interacting with participants, many of whom may have special needs or mobility challenges.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Clean driving record.
• Previous experience driving a passenger van or bus is preferred.
• Ability to assist participants with limited mobility, including the use of wheelchairs or walkers.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
• Background checks and drug screening are required.
