Job Description: As a Yard Technician at Home Roofing Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations team by ensuring the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the yard and warehouse. This hands-on position helps ensure our crews have the materials and equipment needed to complete jobs safely and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Yard & Warehouse Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, warehouse, and material storage areas on a daily basis.

2. Material Unloading & Sorting: Unload jobsite trailers, separating reusable material into inventory and disposing of debris into the designated debris pile.

3. Trailer Loading: Accurately and efficiently load trailers with required materials for upcoming scheduled jobs, ensuring crews have everything they need.

4. Equipment & Trailer Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on trailers, yard equipment, and tools to ensure safety and operational readiness.

5. Inventory Management: Conduct weekly inventory counts and communicate material needs or discrepancies to management for timely restocking.

6. Material Deliveries: Make occasional trips to job sites to deliver materials or equipment as needed.

7. Debris Management: Coordinate with contracted debris transport services to schedule timely removal of the debris pile.

8. Team Communication: Collaborate with the operations team, field managers, and vendors to ensure seamless material flow and efficient yard operations.

9. Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment in the yard and warehouse areas.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience in a warehouse, yard, or construction environment preferred.

2. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

3. Ability to operate forklifts and yard equipment (or willingness to learn).

4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

5. Physically able to lift and move materials (up to 80 lbs.) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

6. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

7. Reliable and punctual with good time management skills.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
